Bradley Party & Variety burglarized in Bethesda (Video)

Bradley Party & Variety was burglarized by a man on August 26, 2017 around 1:30 PM. The suspect entered the store in the Bradley Shopping Center like any other customer, Montgomery County police say. But then he snuck into an employees-only area in the back of the store, broke through a locked door, and stole money. He then walked out the front entrance of the store, but not before his heist was caught on a surveillance camera.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about this burglary is asked to contact the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6710.  To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or enter a tip online. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment of the suspects.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.

Is that one of the Westbard Deads?

Robert Dyer's blog is a news desert.

He's too busy hanging with the sheepshills and trying to make me the villain.

What are all those weird little white bits on the carpet? When was the last time they vacuumed?

Breaking Bethesda news...when you want to be the first to know.

8:04 - not to defend how ridiculous this is, the cops did just release this footage today. So this is in the news cycle elsewhere as well.

Guess your late to the party. Beth Mag already has posted this several hours before you did. Serves them right. Anybody who leaves an employee back room door open ,making it easy to break into, deserves it. THe Manager should either be fired or be docked , whatever money was taken from the store.

@9:01 I wonder why they had so much money on-hand in the first place. Seems to me most people pay by card, so if they had 1-2 days' of their cash revenue in there, how much could it really be?

Or.. that's their separate stash of under-the-table money.

Looks like Federal Realty is ghosting Robert Dyer, bigly.

Will Westfield be next? I haven't seen any news about Greenhill here for ages.

Robert Dyer said...

9:01: You lie again. I was the first to report this story.

1:47: Federal Realty isn't stupid enough to forgo my several thousand daily readers.

You’re a joke, Robert. Don’t confuse yourself with Bethesda Magazine.

Robert Dyer said...

5:29: Trust me, I don't. I don't plagiarize, and I'm not a house organ for the MoCo cartel.

A 50 year old that has a blog a 12 year old could have (and do better). Comparing yourself to Bethesda Magazine is like saying 40,000 zombies voted for Councilman Reimer. You just can’t make this stuff up folks.

Breaking news: 2016 MoCo Term-limit referendum investigation reveals massive voting by illegal MS-13 zombies. Results overturned.

5:41pm following? You mean the twitter & Facebook followers they bought? :)

5:47pm the magazine is the old legacy media. If Dyer was trying to be them, he never would have started this daily Bethesda news source.

Dyer is fulfilling unmet needs- doing a job no one else was doing.

It's not easy being a disruptor.

Anonymous said...

Ha, I bet Dyer could beat up zombies with his brass knuckles.

6:03pm I don't have their balance sheets, so I can't speak to that. I suspect neither can you.

6:10 PM Disruptive innovation. There's no question Dyer innovated in what he's doing in MoCo hyper local news.

Anonymous said...

So why aren't advertisers, let alone readers, beating a path to Dyer's blogs?

This is an excellent example of cognitive dissonance...believing only what you
want to believe.

"Federal Realty isn't stupid enough to forgo my several thousand daily readers."

So how come you've been the last to report:

-Barnes & Noble's closing
-Anthropologie's taking over the B&N site
-Amazon Books announcement of their Bethesda store just around the corner?

Looks like Federal Realty has cut you out of the loop.

Robert Dyer said...

4:12: Federal Realty wasn't the source. My investigation to find out who leaked the Amazon news continues. Barnes & Noble closing wasn't a scoop; because the store stocks the small-and-slightly-failing magazine, they of course had to inform the mag they wouldn't be ordering any more issues after this year. "Why not?" "We're closing." Not exactly Woodward and Bernstein, folks.

Waiting for the eventual debate on blog templates. My WordPress is better than...
Lol.

Dyer @ 4:53 - Sounds like there is plenty of demand for the hardcopy of the Magazine. Which undercuts one of your treasured talking points.

God, this blog template is terrible 5:10 AM Dyer-time, or should I say 8:10 AM Eastern Time.
