Black's Bar & Kitchen Patio Kickoff Party May 30 in Bethesda

One of downtown Bethesda's top restaurants is opening its popular patio for summer in grand style on  Saturday, May 30 at noon.

Join them at one of the best outdoor dining spaces in town for an al fresco pig roast. And that's just for starters - they'll also be serving Barren Island Oyster Company’s “Ugly Oysters” prepared three ways: raw on the half shell, grilled with lime barbecue butter, and etouffée style.

Louisiana steamed and spiced crawfish, with seasonal fixings such as cole slaw, grilled vegetables and cornbread, will round out the feast. Beer aficionados will want to try the "Feed the Monkey" Hefeweizen, and "The Infinite” from Laurel, Md.’s Jailbreak Brewing Company, which will be the featured brews.

Tickets are $45 online, and include all-you-can-eat oysters, and all-you-can-drink beer until 3:00 PM.

Parking will be free that day in the Montgomery County parking garage, which is right next door to the restaurant.

An underexposed photo, not focused on anything in particular, of an empty patio with furniture placed randomly and haphazardly, totally gets me in the mood for the Kickoff Party.

10:42: Should I have "phoned it in" with Flickr? The whole point is that the patio is officially opening. With your criticism of promotion of local restaurants, you sound like Councilmember George Leventhal, who infamously said there were no great restaurants in Bethesda and he had to go to Tysons Corner for that reason. A real booster for local business - just like you, troll.
